Award Grade Categories

We wish to endeavour to be as inclusive as possible with the range of show organisations that are now available for our members to attend, but with this range of organisations there are variations in height categories and also class grading.

We also acknowledge that not all our members attend KC or UKA shows and we accept that the requirement for an official measurement from either these organisations may cause some difficulties but we do need to set a fair criteria for all and we hope you will understand.

We are therefore providing guidelines and rules to follow with respect in particular to the amount of different height categories that the same dog can compete in across the range of Unaffiliated shows.

These rules are to provide fairness across all heights of dogs competing for awards in our League as from 2011 the following height rules will apply.

Height Rules

27)  On registering the dog onto the League tables the member must nominate the height from either a KC or UKA official recorded measurement that the dog is competing under in either of these organisations

28)  The League rules will as from 2011 accept points claims from a dog if the dog competes at the registered height or 1 height Lower or higher for example see chart.

29)  If the dogs competes at more than 1 jump height difference then only Clear round points can be claimed

30)  The height category that the dog is registered at the beginning of each League year will stand until the next league year

League Award Categories = 3 Heights Large, Medium & Small, dogs must be registered into 1 of these heights categories only but may jump 1 height lower or higher as per chart

League Grade Categories

The League bases its award categories on KC grading structure we are aware that some of the Unaffiliated organisations differ using different terminology please refer to table below if you do not compete at KC events to see what grade your dog should be entered into for the League.

The grade that the dog is entered into at the start of the League year is where the dog stays until the next League year.
